It is formed by depositing wear-resistant materials on the top of low carbon steel or Hardox tough wear-resistant steel substrate to form an extremely wear-resistant composite material. The best composition of carbide ensures that the base metal and welding layer uniform adhesive, thus make Duroxite ® has a very high abrasion resistance and long service life

Duroxite 100

Duroxite 100 is manufactured by depositing chromium-rich, abrasion-resistant materials on a mild steel base plate using a traditional arc welding process.

The hardfacing overlay plate is suitable for severe abrasive wear and moderate to low impact applications. The multiple-layer overlay is also capable of maintaining full wear resistance up to 350 ºC (660ºF) and the typical surface hardness of 55 HRC at elevated temperatures up to 540°C (1000°F). Duroxite 100 is available in single layers or multiple layers up to 20 mm (3/4”) in overlay thickness.

Duroxite 101 is manufactured by depositing a chromium-rich carbide overlay on Hardox 450 backing plate. The hardfacing overlay is suitable for severe abrasive wear and impact applications.

With its optimum carbide concentration, consistently good wear resistance from top surface through 75% depth of overlay, and Hardox backing plate, Duroxite 101 provides a better combination of wear and impact resistance compared to the traditional mild steel backing overlay plate.

Duroxite 200

Duroxite 200 consists of specially formulated abrasive materials deposited on mild steel backing plate that is suitable for extremely severe abrasive wear and high to moderate impact applications.

The overlay material is composed of primary chromium-rich carbides and refined multiple-alloy complex carbides dispersed evenly in a ductile eutectic austenite matrix. Duroxite 200 is available in single and double layers.

● Multiple-alloy complex carbides are harder and finer than chromium carbides and interlock between the primary chromium carbides to provide better wear resistance

Duroxite 201 is developed for severe wear and impact applications applying specially formulated abrasive materials on Hardox 450 backing plate.

The overlay material is composed of primary chromium-rich carbides and refined multiple-alloy complex carbides dispersed evenly in a ductile eutectic austenite matrix. The additional multi-alloy carbides are harder and finer than the co-existing chromium-rich carbides which interlock between large primary chromium-rich carbides in a matrix.

Duroxite 300

Duroxite™ 300 is an iron-based steel alloy overlay deposited on mild steel. It is designed for extremely severe sliding wear for both dry and wet (slurry) abrasive environments.

The overlay contains a unique high volume of ultra-fine borocarbides with a grain size refined down to 500 nm. The borocarbides are completely wetted in a ductile matrix resulting in a product with significantly improved service life that maintains high toughness in extreme sliding wear applications. Duroxite™ 300 is an excellent alternative to tungsten carbide overlay.

Duroxite 100 Pipe

Duroxite 100 Pipe is manufactured by depositing chromium-rich, abrasion-resistant materials on a mild steel base using a traditional arc welding process.

The hardfacing overlay pipe is designed with extreme wear capabilities for working in the most severe environments. Duroxite 100 Pipe is available with double or multiple overlay passes. Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 steel pipe as well as tubing can be hardfaced. Overlay Pipe can be fabricated as square-to-round transitions, elbows, T or Y-shaped, or as long sweeps.

Duroxite 400

Duroxite 400 is a specially formulated hardfacing overlay pin engineered and designed to withstand severe heat and metal-to-metal wear applications.

Its exceptional quality comes from the precise control and selection of raw materials as well as proprietary processing. The maximum working temperature for the product is 480 °C (900 °F). The work-hardening hardness of the Duroxite overlay pin can reach up to 58 HRC in service. The Duroxite 400 overlay pin matches with 12% Manganese Bushings. This Bearing System is expected to last longer than traditional hardened surfaces used such as induction heated and quenched 4140 pins.

Typical Applications

Overlay pins can be machined to meet the requirements of any specific application.

Duroxite 100 Wire

Duroxite 100 WIRE is a flux-cored welding wire for hardfacing components subject to severe sliding wear and moderate to low impact applications using an open-arc welding process.

The weld deposit contains abrasion-resistant materials composed of a high proportion of extremely hard primary M7C3 chromium-rich carbides. With a typical hardness of 1700 HK 1) these carbides are dispersed evenly in a ductile eutectic austenite matrix. It naturally reveals stress-relief cracks after welding. Duroxite 100 WIRE is suitable for single-layer or multiple-layer deposits up to a maximum of three layers.
